Today we took a field trip to the Florida Cracker Storytelling Festival. This is an annual event, but it was our first time going. There is a log cabin furnished like in pioneer days (reminded me of the Little House books), an old barn, church, farmhouse and a schoolhouse that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are various stations set up where different people tell stories and tons of other fun stuff to walk around and see. The kids' favorite part was the pile of hay they got to play and jump in. We will definitely go back again next year!
