Friends and Neighbors

This weekend flew by - I am so glad we had an extra day off to enjoy. Scott and I spend half of Saturday looking for some things we needed outside - storage for yard tools and a shelf for inside our shed and some kind of storage box for small outside toys (jump ropes, balls, sidewalk chalk, etc.). It was a very successful shopping trip and our goal now is to get our shed to the point that we can easily access the kids' bikes and scooters. I always feel so guilty that we never play with those things, but it is only because I can't physically drag it all out of the shed. Hopefully we are on the way to changing that!

Scott did lots of planting this weekend - through a work connection he was able to get us 20 jasmine plants and a tabebuya tree. I caught up on folding literally a week's worth of laundry that has just been piling up. And we ended the weekend with a fun gathering here to celebrate Memorial Day. It was kind of a last-minute idea but we decided to do hot wings (shout out to Grandaddy for cooking them for us) and everyone brought sides and drinks. We set up the slip n slide, baby pool and sprinkler and all the kids had a blast going back and forth between the water toys and the trampoline. We were outside literally all day yesterday - so much fun! I can't wait for school to be out!

Along the fenceline in the background of this picture is the huge row of jasmine plants that Scott planted (with Austin's help).

The bench in this picture is what we got for outside toy storage. It is the perfect height for the table we had already!
