Rites of Passage

This morning I dropped this little man off...

...to summer camp for the first time. I'm not too sad since it is Parker Street's camp and I am so excited for him to be a part of it. However, I did only agree to send him three days a week - after all, it is our last summer together before he goes to school! Scott and I were talking the other day about how fast the last 6 years have gone. Two more cycles of this and he will be out of the house :(

I have really been struggling lately with how old the kids are getting and how fast they got there. I don't know if it is because Jackson is our last baby or what, but I will be so sad when I don't have little ones at home full-time anymore (I know, he is only 8 weeks old so I have a while, but it will pass by in no time). Not to mention the fact that I will never get to be pregnant again (yes I actually enjoy that too, as well as the birthing process).

So to all you moms with older kids who have been telling me you don't miss this stage of your life, please pray for me! I am turning into a sentimental mess and I want our kids to stop growing so fast! And my husband would like for me to stop thinking I want more... ;)

More importantly, pray for our son Caleb as he is spending lots of time with kids in the neighborhood this summer - that he will love them well and display Jesus through everything he says and does.
