Today was our playgroup Valentine party. For the second year in a row, we had to have it inside at church - last year it was freezing cold outside and this year it was raining. I don't think the kids even noticed the change in venue :) We had crafts, cookie decorating, pizza, and a sweet story and song time. Then all the kids lined up and dropped their valentines in everyone's bags... mixed in with lots of running around, squealing and chasing each other all over the fellowship hall.
After school was done yesterday, the kids and I had fun signing their valentine cards and making the treats we were giving everyone. Using stuff on hand - anything to avoid dragging four children out to the store. One of these years I am sure they will complain about not getting to pick out character valentines, but until then I will continue to enjoy our time together making the homemade ones.
